Hideaway Ponds has been preparing for the fall all year, knowing that it’s a fantastic time to get out and enjoy all the resort and mother nature has to offer. We are finally able to get to work on the clubhouse and the pools. We have moved back into the clubhouse, and we deeply appreciate how far the staff has gone and how hard they have worked to move us back in. Everyone has gone above and beyond what was ever expected and we appreciate you so very much.
In June, Hideaway Ponds kicked off summer in the best way with lots of frozen delectable treats during “Ice Cream Weekend.” We also had our Father’s Day Celebration weekend, “Let’s go Fishing,” and we were jumping for joy to see everyone’s catches! In July, we needed some cooling off from the heat with our “Pool Party Weekend” where our members dove in for family pool games. We took a break from the current season to skip ahead with “Christmas in July”, bringing our season’s greetings to our guests with a white elephant game for the adults and a “Guess What’s in the Stocking” game for kids. And rounding out the summer, the “Back to School” weekend gave kids a fantastic send-off before returning to the classroom.
Now fall is here, which means it’s time for campfires, late-night hot cocoa, and the never-ending s’mores. The staff at Hideaway Ponds are ready to make your fall camping experience the most exciting and memorable one yet. Our Ocean Canyon family is near and dear to all of us and we can’t think of a better way to show our members how much we care than with fun, food, and friendly faces during the upcoming “Member Appreciation Weekend.” After that, you don’t have to wait for the day your prince or princess will come because we have our “Disney Weekend!” Young ones can let their love show for their favorite hero or heroine princess, while just around the riverbend, the whole family can enjoy lots of activities and crafts. The following month brings Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we are honoring fighters and survivors of breast cancer, giving individuals and their loved ones an entire weekend of celebration to support their journey. To round out the fall season, we’ll have our “Fall Festival Weekend” and “Halloween Weekend” so don’t forget to pack your costumes!
